About the Team

The Nomads Wolfpack began in 2011 as part of its parent football club, the North Winnipeg Nomads (Western Canada's largest football club). The Wolfpack competes in the Western Women's Canadian Football League (WWCFL). The league is broken up into two conferences -- The Western Conference (Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, and Grand Prairie) and the Prairie Conference (Saskatoon, Regina, and two Winnipeg teams). The highest ranked team of each conference meets at the end of the season to compete for the WWCFL Championship.

Training for the Wolfpack season starts in February, however games are played from May to July. All home games are supported by the North Winnipeg Nomads Football Club and are played at Markus Howell Field. The skill levels found on the Wolfpack vary from beginners to veterans of Team Canada's women's tackle football squad. Our experienced, knowledgeable coaching staff and grassroots environment surrounding the Nomads Wolfpack fosters growth and encourages development in the sport.

Player Registration

Registration fees are $395. A portion of those fees is contributed to the North Winnipeg Nomads Football Club and Football Manitoba, player insurance, and the remainder is used towards any travel costs (bus and hotel) associated with the season. Your registration fee covers the lease of all required protective equipment except for cleats. Your registration fee also includes the one-time cost of a personalized jersey that is yours to keep for future seasons.

The team participates in various fundraisers throughout the year to cover any additional costs that may be incurred during the season. Members of the Wolfpack also contribute to the North Winnipeg Nomads Football Club by assuming roles throughout the board, coaching for other Nomads teams, fundraising, and volunteer work.

No one will define me. No one will tell me what I can achieve. None will say I have not given all I have to give, and none will take my glory. Our Pack. Our Pride. Our Glory.
